Are we inside of God?

1 Kings 8:27; 2 Corinthians 12:2 Acts 7:48-49; 2 Chron 2:6 Ephesians 4:10 Psalm 137: 1-9,

Indeed, God cannot be contained by any space no matter how large yet God is omnipresent, he is everywhere at the same time. God dwells in heaven, in the third heaven. The throne of God is in heaven.

He is the Lord of heaven and of earth. This great God rules the universe. He fills all things - he fills the universe. He is infinite. So are we inside of God?

What false teachers would have us believe is that God is so large that all space and matter and the universe as we know it, are within or inside God. They teach that God and creation share the same nature and essence; everything comprises an all-encompassing, ingrained God. So their belief says, “Split a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there." While this might sound grand, it is an error. The notion comes from a book that does not proclaim Jesus as Messiah, or tell of his death, burial, or resurrection.

Biblical Christianity teaches that God is separate and distinct from His creation, and separate and distinct from the universe He created (Gen. 1:1-30). God created hell for Satan and his demonic hosts (Matt 25:36-41). If we are to believe the teaching that everything that God created is inside Him, then as organs and systems are within the human body, hell is located within God. Further, Jesus did not need to come into this world; or take on the sins of the world; or go into hades to set the captives free - because all these were already within him.

The New Testament makes numerous mentions that as followers of Christ we are in him, and all creation being in God (Acts 17:28). Paul says to the Corinthians and the Philippians that he has them in his heart. These references mean that he was in union with them; they together were consecrated to the same end, and one purpose and one mind and one life.

Our Lord himself said he was in God and God in Him; and God and Christ were in each other. Jesus said that with those who love him the Father and He will come and make their abode with them (John 14:23). The one who joins himself with the Lord is one spirit (1 Cor 6:17). This does not mean bodily entrance of one being into another. A man and a woman become one in life together – one mind, purpose, and are in each other’s plans and life.

When Luke 22:3 says that Satan entered Judas it simply means that Judas submitted to Satan’s temptation to betray Jesus. Judas became one with Satan.  It is a false teaching that one bodily enters the being of another.

Beware. Guard the flock of Jesus Christ. False teachers will delude any whose ears itch for new so-called revelations, and who have are easily deceived because of lack of understanding of the scriptures. False teacher are peddling the doctrine that the universe is inside God.

God is a holy God; God is a pure God. The earth has not changed from being corrupt and full of violence. It is a wild teaching to say that this world of sin and evil are inside God. Reject this false teaching with the contempt it deserves.
